THE ASSOCIATION IS GOVERNED BY AN EXECUTIVE THAT IS ELECTED BY MEMBERS ANNUALLY

The structure of the executive includes a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other executive members as elected. The focus of the Executive is the strategic direction of the Association and establishment of strategic links with relevant stakeholders.

Louise is the Insurance Manager and Self-Insurance licence holder for the City of Gold Coast Council. Louise has been in the industry for over 15 years and has a background in Rehabilitation, Exercise Physiology.  Louise has experienced most angles of the industry, from rehabilitation, to claims decision making and claims management, to common law, to licence holder, to executive member and she reports one thing remains the same… the sheer importance of the role we play to the injured worker, to the employer and to the scheme.

Helen is the licence holder and Self Insurance Team Leader for Queensland Rail. Helen’s background is in Psychology, she has worked extensively within the personal injury space including time in the scheme at WorkCover QLD and with Occupational Rehabilitation and Claims Management Providers. Helen has been an executive member for ASIEQ over the past year and is now stepping into the role of Vice-President.

Cara is Head of Safety and Wellbeing at Bolton Clarke, part of ACES. Cara is an experienced manager delivering excellence in injury management, risk management and injury prevention initiatives at Bolton Clarke. Cara has been on the executive committee since 2020 and has held the role of secretary since 2021, a role she will continue in for the year ahead.

Trent is the General Manager of Self-Insurance and Workers’ Injury Management at Teys Australia. Trent is the licence holder for Teys Self-Insurance license in QLD and SA. Trent started his workers’ compensation career 12 years ago as an occupational nurse for Teys before transitioning to his current role 6 years ago. Trent has been an executive member for 4 years and has been in the Treasurer role for the past 2 years, remaining in this role for the year ahead.

With a strong foundation in safety, quality, procurement, and facilities management, Sarah has honed her expertise in Workers’ Compensation & Rehabilitation and Return to Work management. Having worked across diverse industries including events, manufacturing, marine, mining, and automotive, she is passionate about creating safe and efficient workplaces.

Vicki is the QLD State Manager for Coles Team Cover, Vicki has 16 years workers’ compensation experience across both the scheme and self-insurance, with a passion for adding value to our ways of working that will achieve better and sustainable outcomes for injured workers. Vicki has been an executive member this year and is now stepping into the role of Engagement Chair. This role will work alongside our Secretariat to focus on enhancing our social media presence and updating our website.

With over 14 years’ experience in the Queensland workers’ compensation industry, Terence currently holds the position of Group Manager, Queensland at EML. Terence has significant experience in leadership and technical roles across the workers’ compensation scheme and previously oversaw Queensland’s allied health services and public health services table of costs. He has extensively worked with rehabilitation and return to work providers, as well as the allied health associations across the state to help develop and maintain working relationships between insurers and the providers. As part of EML’s portfolio of clients, Terence currently oversees the claims management and audit activities for 6 self-insured employers in Queensland.

Representing PFD Foods – Woolworths

Jahna is the National Workers’ Compensation Advisor for QLD and SA for PFD Foods, a member of the Woolworths Group. Jahna has 18 years’ experience in the scheme across various industries. Jahna has worked in her current role since 2017, managing workers’ compensation and injury management in both self-insurance and scheme environments across multiple jurisdictions. Jahna is very pleased to join the executive this year, where she will be Education Chair. This role will take the lead in organising quarterly forums, assisting member drop-in sessions in addition to general committee responsibilities.

Representing Association Solutions

Association Solutions Secretariat will continue on in the role of secretariat for ASIEQ this coming year.

Danielle Bolton and the team from Association Solutions provide both Secretariat and Conference Management support to ASIEQ and have been working closely with the Executive since 2019.  Danielle has been working with not-for-profit organisations for over 30 years.
