The 4th Annual Workers’ Compensation Masterclass titled the Cutting Edge is fast approaching. The event will cover the latest workers’ compensation developments in the legislation, case law and health care

The 4th edition of the popular annual Workers’ Compensation Masterclass, this year presented by Barry.Nilsson., ASIEQ and LexiMed is open for bookings. This popular half day event will include the following presentations:-

  1. Workers’ Compensation Case Review
    Richard Douglas QC, Barrister-at-Law
    Richard Douglas QC will discuss the most recent cases which workers’ compensation professionals in Queensland should be aware of, both from a common law and statutory perspective.
  2. LexiMed Panel Discussion – The Latest Medical Advancements for Work Injuries
    Dr David Shooter (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr Jim Rodney (Psychiatrist) and Dr Leigh Atkinson (Neurosurgeon) – Leximed
    The expert panel will discuss the latest advancements in medical issues relevant to workers’ compensation claims including treatment techniques, achieving return to work outcomes and medico-legal assessments.
  3. The Legislation Latest and Greatest
    Mark Wiemers, Principal, Barry.Nilsson.
    Mark Wiemers will discuss the most recent amendments to the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and other related legislation, which impacts upon workers’ compensation claims and which you should be aware of.
